GetAroundOK is a new online commuter matching program that helps Central Oklahomans find less expensive and environmentally friendly commuting alternatives. This service is publicly funded using federal Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) funds and is administered by the Association of Central Oklahoma Governments (ACOG).
How do I use this site?
GetAroundOK can help connect you with other commuters who may be able to carpool, bike, or walk to work/school with you. By creating a free account with GetAroundOK, you will be able to search for other commuters near you who share similar schedules and commuting preferences.
If you are an employer looking for information about offering commuter benefits, GetAroundOK can help your company promote alternative transportation options within your workplace.
Why should I consider ridesharing?
There are many reasons to consider ridesharing! Some benefits you might experience include:

How does GetAroundOK's online commuter matching service work?
GetAroundOK is a free, web-based commuter matching service that allows commuters to:
- Create password-protected accounts
- Enter and manage their carpool preferences
- Get instant matches with other commuters who want to form or join carpools
- Send instant e-mail messages to carpool matches
- Access their accounts at any time to update their profile or search for more matches
What can I do if I can't find matches on GetAroundOK?
GetAroundOK might not have any matches for you when you first create your account. This is a new online service and it will take some time for the database to grow. Be sure to check back often.
You may also want to consider changing your commuter profile to give you a broader pool of matches.

What if I need a ride home in the event of an emergency?
Many people have concerns about being stranded at work in the event of illness, accident, or emergency. GetAroundOK offers a Guaranteed Ride Home program for eligible commuters who rideshare. This program will reimburse you ($35 maximum) up to three times a year for a taxi ride home from work in the event of an emergency on a day where you use alternative transportation.
